This 2-storey library was panned as a free-standing steel structure. Steel pipe columns elevate the structure above the sloped property. Floors and roof are suspended from columns on either side by means of slender steel rods. Public access is via a pedestrian ramp on the hillside, connecting the parking lot with the main entrance. The ground floor features, beside bookshelves, a spacious lobby, reading sections, as well as administrative rooms. A spiral staircase and an adjacent elevator in proximity to the lobby provide access to the 2nd floor. Further in the back of the floor, another staircase connects both floors. The 2nd floor offers more shelving space and reading areas as well as a learning centre and additional offices.
